KIRSTY MCDONALD – PGA PROFESSIONAL
Coaching Philosophy
If you are looking to play better golf, achieve lower scores, reduce frustration and increase enjoyment, I am here to help.
A clear aim within my philosophy is to make the playing of the game of golf available and enjoyable to a wide audience.
Working together to help meet your needs is integral to each session whether you are a new or established golfer.
Providing opportunities to learn new skills or refine those already in place, meet new people, in a fantastic outdoor environment and improve people’s health and well being sits at the heart of every coaching session.
Bio
Kirsty became a member of the PGA in 1997 and ventured out on the Ladies European Tour. She knew that her heart belonged to coaching and from 2000 became a full time coach within the Midlands; coaching beginners, juniors, those aspiring to play the game for a living and everyone in between.
A fabulous opportunity arose in 2000 when she was asked to become a Swing Tutor for the PGA; a role that she still holds today and has expanded over the last 18 years. During this time she has helped nearly 4000 golfers achieve their dream of becoming PGA professionals. She was and remains the only female PGA member to work within the Golf Coaching, Foundation Degree department.
In 2007, she became the only member of the PGA to be honoured with becoming a Trainer of other Tutors and Assessors working in the PGA training programme.
She also relished the time that she was Chairman of the WPGA (2007-2018) and her position on the Executive Committee of the PGA where she took the role of ensuring that the interests of the members were well considered and their needs were met with the ever changing golf market.
